Illegally exported cultural relics have returned to China from the United States

bp copyThe Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in New York received two illegally exported cultural relics from the Manhattan District Prosecutor's Office, which the supervisory authorities found during the investigation of a criminal case.

The returned cultural relics are two funeral couches made of stone with three side carved casement screens made of stone slabs at each. They were used as stands for coffins.
The relics are over 1000 years old.
It should be noted that the finds have great historical, scientific and artistic value.
Since 2015, the American side has returned a total of 404 units/sets of cultural artifacts and one paleontological fossil to China in five batches, Xinhua News writes.
