Starbucks has restored business in China

The American coffee chain Starbucks noted the recovery of its business in mainland China this year, which was facilitated by an increase in the number of visitors to its coffee shops.

According to the financial report, in the second quarter of fiscal year 2023, which lasted from January 2 to April 2, the net profit growth of Starbucks in mainland China was 3 percent.
In addition, the chain recorded a 3 percent increase in sales in coffee shops operating for more than a year. on an annual basis, which was facilitated by an increase in the number of transactions in these coffee shops by 4 percent.
The number of new coffee shops opened by Starbucks China in the second quarter of fiscal year 2023 was 153, which is more than double the figure for the first quarter.
As the company noted, as of the end of the second quarter, more than 6.2 thousand coffee shops in 244 cities operated in mainland China. It is planned that by 2025 their number will reach 9 thousand, XINHUA News writes.
