Chinese Foreign Minister held talks with Mongolian Foreign Minister

Member of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, Foreign Minister Qin Gang held talks with Mongolian Foreign Minister Batmunhiin Battsetseg.

Qin Gang said that China and Mongolia are good neighbors, good friends and good partners. At the same time, he stressed that the PRC is ready, together with Mongolia, to do everything possible to implement the important consensus reached by the heads of the two states, and to support each other on issues that concern each side.
Qin Gang also expressed the readiness of the Chinese side to further align the development strategies of the two countries, promote the joint development of the Belt and Road initiative, promote cooperation in the mining industry, transport and communication interconnectedness and other areas to build a Sino-Mongolian community of a common destiny based on the principles of peaceful coexistence, mutual assistance and mutually beneficial cooperation.
B. Battsetseg, for her part, noted that the Mongolian side firmly adheres to the one-China principle. Mongolia believes that the Taiwan issue, as well as issues related to Hong Kong and Xinjiang, are exclusively an internal matter of China, she added.
According to her, Mongolia appreciates and supports China's Global Development Initiative, Global Security Initiative and Global Civilization Initiative. The Mongolian side is ready to deepen political mutual trust and expand practical cooperation with China and strive to ensure that relations between the two countries serve as a model for the entire region, B.
