"At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, French President Emmanuel Macron will pay a state visit to China on April 5-7," she said in a statement on the agency's website.
As Agence France-Presse reported on Friday with reference to the Elysee Palace, during a trip to China, Macron plans to discuss the situation in Ukraine with the Chinese leadership and warn Beijing against military support for Russia.
The agency also reported that Macron will seek to begin the process of restoring relations after a long period of absence of personal contacts due to the coronavirus pandemic.
