This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China on the social network Weibo.
"We would like to inform you that from March 31, the provision of services for the entry of foreign tourist groups and booking of "ticket and hotel" by travel agencies and online tour operators is being restored," the message says.
For three years, since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, strict anti-covid measures have been in effect in China. However, since the end of last year, the country's authorities have begun to gradually cancel them. In November last year, the punishment mechanism for airlines was abolished, which provided for the freezing of flights for the import of passengers infected with COVID-19. And in early December, the Chinese authorities canceled the anti-cancer restrictions and mandatory PCR testing that were in effect in the country.
On January 8, the State Committee for Hygiene and Health of the People's Republic of China transferred COVID-19 from the category of class A diseases (extremely dangerous, including atypical pneumonia, cholera, AIDS and viral hepatitis) to class B (require strict control measures). After that, the mandatory quarantine that had been in effect for three years upon arrival in the country was canceled: its term was initially three weeks, but by the end of 2022 it was gradually reduced to five days, writes TASS.
