This was reported by the information portal of the newspaper "People's Daily".
According to him, the Hainan competent authorities selected three out of 16 local volunteers who volunteered to go to Turkey. After arriving there, they immediately joined the rescue operations.
An earthquake of magnitude 7.7 occurred on Monday in the province of Kahramanmaras in southeastern Turkey. Some time later, another powerful blow of a similar force was recorded. According to the latest data, more than 18 thousand people were killed in the country, more than 74 thousand were injured, writes TASS.
