The expert considers the possibility of a new COVID-19 outbreak in China unlikely

COVID 19 10The probability of a new outbreak of COVID-19 in China in the near future is low due to the collective immunity of the population.

This was stated on Thursday by Wu Zunyu, a leading expert of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
"The probability of a new wave of COVID-19 epidemic in China in the coming months is low, since the immune protection developed by the country's population during the recent nationwide outbreak of the disease remains high," Xinhua quoted him as saying.
The expert noted that the possibility of a larger outbreak of COVID-19 is also unlikely.
On January 8, the State Committee for Hygiene and Health of the People's Republic of China transferred COVID-19 from the category of diseases of class "A" (extremely dangerous) to class "B" (require strict control measures). The first type, for example, includes plague and cholera, the second - SARS, AIDS and viral hepatitis. Against this background, the Government has significantly relaxed quarantine restrictions for those entering the country. At the same time, the authorities announced the gradual restoration of trips from China to other states, writes TASS.
