The Russian Ambassador to China called the resumption of face-to-face contacts between the countries a priority

The resumption of face-to-face exchanges between China and Russia is a priority task of cooperation between the countries.

This position was expressed by the Russian Ambassador to Beijing Igor Morgulov at a meeting with the chairman of the Chinese People's Society for Friendship with Abroad (CNODZ) Lin Songtian, the Russian embassy said in a statement.
"The restoration of pre-pandemic face-to-face exchanges between our countries in the shortest possible time is a priority task," Morgulov said.
He also noted that people's diplomacy plays an important role in Russian-Chinese relations, and stressed the need to expand cultural and humanitarian projects between the two countries.
"Lin Songtian, for his part, emphasized the importance of developing Russian-Chinese interregional cooperation.
