Deputy head of the Federal Agency for Fisheries Vasily Sokolov told reporters before a meeting of the Azov-Black Sea Basin Scientific and Fishing Council in Rostov-on-Don on Tuesday.
"We are developing a digital ecosystem together with Chinese importers in order to digitally issue permits for the export of [fish and fish products]," Sokolov said.
At the same time, he clarified that the main goal of the Russian Federation is to saturate the domestic market.
"Here we see the dynamics. The domestic market is interesting for our fishermen and aquaculturists. Aquaculture continues to develop. I think [by the end of 2022] there will be an addition to the record indicator of last year, when we got the best result since the Soviet Union," Sokolov said, explaining that the final results of the industry in 2022 will be summed up in April 2023, writes TASS.
