The US and China discussed the special military operation in Ukraine

The US delegation discussed with Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Xie Feng issues related to the special military operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, the DPRK, as well as the release of American citizens in custody in China.

This was reported to journalists by a representative of the US administration, his words were quoted on Monday by Reuters.
According to the official, during the consultations, in particular, they talked about the "threat to the security of the region" from the DPRK, as well as "the return home of US citizens who were unreasonably detained" in China or cannot leave the country due to the "exit ban". The representative of the US administration clarified that the talks in the city of Langfang (Hebei Province) in Eastern China were "frank and meaningful."
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said at a briefing earlier on Monday that representatives of the United States and China discussed bilateral relations. According to him, Xie Feng met with Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Daniel Kritenbrink and Senior Director for China at the White House National Security Council Laura Rosenberger.
The US State Department previously reported that Kritenbrink and Rosenberger will visit China, South Korea and Japan from December 11 to 14, writes TASS.
