This was reported to TASS on Thursday in the press service of the Far Eastern Customs Administration.
"Employees of the Nizhneleninsky customs post work around the clock seven days a week in a regular mode. A technological scheme for the organization of the passage of vehicles and goods through the customs border of the EAEU has been developed and approved. This scheme reflects the timing and procedure of actions of all state bodies working at the checkpoint," the report says.
In the future, it is planned to launch a stationary inspection and inspection complex at the checkpoint - a large X-ray for wagons. "Now the inspection of railway cars will be carried out at the checkpoint in front of the bridge. If it is necessary to carry out customs inspection, it will take place in places that are equipped with the necessary equipment. It can take place both at the checkpoint itself and in its immediate vicinity," the ministry said.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister - Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev said that on Wednesday the first trains passed over the bridge in the EAO. At the initial stage, the planned cargo turnover on the bridge will amount to 5.2 million tons per year of cargo with an increase to 20 million tons per year.
The construction of the railway bridge was implemented in accordance with the agreement concluded between the governments of Russia and the People's Republic of China in 2008. The bridge part of the railway crossing "Nizhneleninskoe - Tongjiang" has a length of 2.2 km, writes "TASS".
