The Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China opposed the use of nuclear weapons in the conflict in Ukraine

391369Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Keqiang during the East Asian Summit in Phnom Penh spoke out against the use of nuclear weapons during the Ukrainian conflict.

This was announced on Monday by the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
"China is against the use of nuclear weapons, as well as threats to use them," the foreign ministry quoted the head of the Chinese government as saying. "It cannot be allowed to be used, nuclear war is unacceptable."
As Li Keqiang clarified, Beijing stands for the preservation of a peaceful international order. He also pointed out the importance of observing the UN Charter.
"We support all efforts to peacefully resolve the crisis situation [in Ukraine]," the head of government added. The Prime Minister of the State Council stressed that in the current situation it is extremely important to "adhere to a rational position and maintain restraint."
At the end of October, the head of the radiation, chemical and biological protection forces of the Russian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, said that "two organizations of Ukraine have specific instructions to create a so-called dirty bomb, the work is at the final stage." As he explained, the Ukrainian side has the necessary raw materials at its nuclear power plants, including Chernobyl, and mining enterprises, as well as a scientific base in Kiev and Kharkiv, writes TASS.
