China has launched a research satellite into orbit

China successfully launched the Shiyan 20C experimental satellite on Saturday.

This was reported by the Central Television of the People's Republic of China.
The launch took place at 09:01 local time (04:01 Moscow time) from the Jiuquan Cosmodrome (Gansu Province) using a Long March 2D (CZ-2D) launch vehicle. The research satellite entered the specified orbit, the launch was deemed successful.
The report notes that the device will mainly be used to test new technologies in orbit.
The current launch was the 445th in a row for the Changzheng series launch vehicles.
