This was reported on Thursday by the information resource "Zhongguo xinwenwang".
The find belongs to the early and middle-late Cretaceous period, which began 145 million years ago and ended 66 million years ago. The three eggs found this time in the nests, which have an almost round shape, are well preserved. The researchers also noticed the prints of the other seven eggs, which probably fell out of the nest.
Analysis of their microscopic structure showed similarities with those dinosaur eggs that were previously discovered in other regions throughout China. We are talking about the species Stalicoolithidae Coralloidoolithus. They have already been found in layers of the Late Cretaceous period on the territory of eastern Zhejiang Province and central Henan Province. Currently, the fossils found are stored in a local museum in Jiangxi province, writes TASS.
