China will close the checkpoint on the border with Kyrgyzstan on October 1-3 in connection with the holiday

The Chinese authorities will close ground checkpoints located on the border with Kyrgyzstan from October 1 to 3 in connection with the celebration of the Day of the Formation of the People's Republic of China.

This was reported on Friday by the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) of Kyrgyzstan.
"At the initiative of the Chinese side, in connection with the celebration of the state holiday - the Day of the Formation of the People's Republic of China - the checkpoints "Torugart - Avtodorozhny" and "Irkeshtam - Avtodorozhny", located on the Kyrgyz-Chinese section of the state border, will be temporarily closed from October 1 to 3, 2022 inclusive," the message says.
As specified, the passage of vehicles and cargo will resume on October 4.
"The Torugart - Avtodorozhny and Irkeshtam - Avtodorozhny checkpoints operate according to a special algorithm that provides only for the movement of goods from China to the Kyrgyz Republic," the service recalled.
