Hong Kong cancels entry quarantine from September 26

BJJONOKEVRKLJLMV5HLP24HXXEHong Kong has been lifting quarantine for those entering this special administrative region of China since September 26.

This was announced on Friday by the head of the local executive authority, John Lee.
"The current rules of "three plus four" - three days of mandatory quarantine and four days of self-observation - are replaced by the formula "zero plus three," he said. This means that for three days it is necessary to avoid crowded places and monitor your health.
At the same time, the system of quarantine hotels will be abolished, he said. The requirement to take a PCR test 48 hours before departure is also canceled - an express test a day before the flight will be enough.
During the three days of self-observation, foreign tourists will be assigned an "orange health code" in a special application on smartphones - this means that they will not be able to visit a number of establishments, such as bars and restaurants, where QR codes are required to be scanned at the entrance. At the same time, they will be able to move freely around the city by public transport.
In recent days, the epidemic situation in Hong Kong has stabilized: the number of daily cases of covid has decreased to less than six thousand. At the beginning of the month, this figure exceeded 10 thousand.
On May 1, 2022, the authorities of this special administrative region of China allowed non-residents to enter the city for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic, provided they were vaccinated and quarantined for a week in specialized hotels. Previously, only residents were allowed to enter, and the quarantine regime reached 21 days. On August 12, the period of entry quarantine was reduced to three days, while four more days were set aside for self-isolation, writes TASS.
