China's non-financial investments abroad increased by 5.8% in January-August%

This was announced at a briefing on Thursday by the official representative of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China Shu Jueting.
According to the Ministry of Commerce, $25 billion was allocated to leasing and business services (an increase of 25.1%), $12.9 billion was allocated to wholesale and retail trade (an increase of 13%). Investments in projects of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative on the territory of partner states amounted to $13.9 billion, an increase of 8.2%. The cost of contract works carried out by Chinese enterprises abroad in January-August increased by 1% to $93 billion, new contracts were signed for $128.9 billion (a decrease of 7.2%).
It is reported that China's investments in wholesale and retail trade, industry and the construction industry continued to increase evenly.
Non-financial investments include investments in land plots, licenses, equipment, research activities and the latest technologies, as well as in fixed assets, intangible assets, and the increase in inventories of working capital.
