The municipal authorities of the Chinese capital have decided to ban access to crowded places for residents of the city who are not vaccinated against COVID-19. As Lian, deputy head of the Beijing Hygiene and Health Committee, said at a press conference on Wednesday, this measure will come into force on July 11.

A certificate of vaccination will be required when visiting educational institutions, libraries, museums, art galleries, houses of culture, stadiums, gyms, entertainment venues, Internet cafes and other places.
The restrictions will not apply to people who are contraindicated for vaccination for health reasons.
Over the past day, six infected COVID-19 have been identified in Beijing. The population of the city is about 22 million people.
