In early May, the head of Russian Railways Oleg Belozerov stated that the number of border crossings between the two countries should be increased.
Earlier, the governor of the Amur Region Vasily Orlov reported that the regional government, Russian Railways and the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation are considering projects for two cross-border railway bridges, which are supposed to be built with high traffic on the road bridge between Blagoveshchensk and the Chinese city of Heihe.
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, organized by the Roscongress Foundation, takes place from June 15 to 18. The theme of this year's forum is "New World - new opportunities". The event also includes forums for SMEs, creative business, "Drug Safety", "SPIEF Junior" and SPIEF Sport Week. TASS acts as a photo-hosting agency and information partner of the event.
