The Russian ambassador to China called the passage of the US destroyer in the Taiwan Strait "walking on the edge"

Washington is walking on the edge in relations with Beijing, carrying out provocations in the Taiwan Strait zone.

This was stated on Wednesday by Russian Ambassador to China Andrey Denisov on the Rossiya-24 TV channel, commenting on the incident with the passage of an American destroyer through the strait.
"This is not such a tangible military threat, but a demonstration of intentions, some negative signals sent to China. This is to some extent walking on the edge. This is what we like to say, "a bear is poked with a stick," but in this case we are not talking about a bear, but about a "tiger being pulled by a mustache," Denisov noted.
According to the diplomat, Beijing has protested to Washington in this regard. "Of course, such things are intolerable, China does not pass by this. <...> All this does nothing to improve the situation in this yet another conflict-prone zone of the world," the Ambassador noted.
