This was reported by Bloomberg with reference to sources. China National Offshore Oil Corporation, China National Oil and Gas Corporation and Sinopec oil and gas Company are discussing with Shell the acquisition of its 27.5% stake in the Sakhalin-2 project, the agency reports.
According to his sources, negotiations are at an early stage, and the likelihood that a deal will not be agreed remains.
Shell is also open to negotiations with other potential buyers outside of China, one of the sources said, writes TASS.
