China and Russia may increase trade volumes by 15%

9d1f946775d099a1e4e599db9dc6d2f3The growth of trade volume between Russia and China may amount to 10-15% by the end of 2022.

This was stated by Alexey Maslov, Director of the Institute of Asian and African Countries of Lomonosov Moscow State University.
According to him, Russia sells more to China than China sells to Russia. The Russian Federation mainly sends oil and gas to China.
"Currently, we have $146 billion [volume] of bilateral trade with China. Our task is to increase exports at the expense of agricultural products - grain, rapeseed and so on," Alexey Maslov told TASS.
In his opinion, it will be beneficial to create farms in Russia with Chinese investments for the guaranteed purchase of certain volumes of products. That is, the products themselves will be created and packaged in Russia, and the Chinese partner will supply them to China under the Russian brand.
"Now we have no joint ventures. We have experience of such cooperation in the field of oil and gas - Arctic LNG-2," the expert explained.
He added that Russian enterprises need not only to establish wholesale supplies of chilled meat, chicken and grain to China, but also to enter the market with final products - sausage products, packaged flour and sweets.
Earlier, "NIA-China" informed that China opposed the resolution of Canada and Poland on nuclear safety in Ukraine.
