Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said, that situation in Ukraine has happened because of inefficient implementation of the Minsk agreements.He had a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken On Tuesday.
"The current development of the situation on the Ukrainian issue is closely related to the delay in the effective implementation of the Minsk agreements," Wang Yi said.
He also noted that China considers it necessary to respect the security of any country and protect the "basic purposes and principles of the UN Charter." "China once again calls on all parties to exercise restraint, realize the importance of implementing the principle of indivisibility of security, and through dialogue and negotiations, defuse the situation and resolve differences," Wang said. He added that Beijing will continue to maintain contact with all parties.
