In the east of China, the ruins of a complex of buildings from the period of the Tang Dynasty were discovered

11387700Archaeologists have discovered in the east of China the ruins of a complex of buildings with a total area of over 1.4 thousand square meters, which dates back to the reign of the Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD).

This was reported on Tuesday by the Shanghai information resource "Penpai".

The complex is located on the territory of Hangzhou district in Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province. In total, archaeologists were able to identify the ruins of 21 objects, which include steps, gates, courtyards, wells, roads, galleries, residential buildings, latrines and a number of other architectural elements.

Analysis of the data obtained at the excavations allowed scientists to assume that the discovered complex could be an official institution or even a temple.
