The authorities of Pyatigorsk (Stavropol Territory) on Monday signed a cooperation agreement with the Chinese city of Dezhou, the press service of the city administration reported."Pyatigorsk and the Chinese city of Dezhou have become twin cities. The agreement on friendly cooperation was signed online today," the message reads.
It is noted that Pyatigorsk and Dezhou intend to cooperate in the field of tourism, resort business, culture, education, medicine, architecture of the urban environment, trade. The Russian and Chinese sides will develop and implement joint projects, exchange delegations, share best practices and learn from experience, communicate via teleconferences and videoconferences, hold joint exhibitions, festivals and forums.
"Dezhou is located near the ancient riverbed of the Yellow River, famous for its beautiful landscapes. At the same time, our city strives for innovation and is full of vital energy. Dezhou attaches great importance to international cooperation, we actively interact with cities in 33 countries. We also have close trade and economic ties with Russia," said Liu Changmin, Permanent Vice Mayor of Dezhou.
