This was reported on Tuesday by the local information resource "Icai Global".
Thus, the metropolis has improved its position in the Global Cities Report ranking by two positions compared to its 2020 version. According to the materials on the company's website, Beijing and Hong Kong are also included in the top ten, which are placed in sixth and seventh places, respectively.
At the same time, Beijing dropped by one position due to the negative impact of the consequences of the spread of COVID-19. The improvement of Shanghai's position in the ranking is due to the fact that despite the pandemic, the city managed to maintain high activity in the commercial and cultural spheres, as well as maintain a high level of capacity of sea and air ports.
The top three in the rating, as in 2020, included New York, London and Paris. Moscow is placed on the 18th line of the rating, having improved its position by two positions compared to 2020.
The corresponding rating is based on the assessment of cities by five parameters: business activity, human capital, information exchanges, cultural experience and political activity.
