Head of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Gao Fu said that humanity will face a new "virus X" in the future, and proposed the principle of interaction to prepare for the fight against it. He told about this in the framework of the Kyoto online forum "Science and Technology in Society", RIA Novosti reports.
According to him, despite the fight against coronavirus, the world will definitely face the so-called virus X in the future, the characteristics of which are not yet known to anyone. It can occur at any time and in any place, stressed Gao Fu.
"For the future of humanity, it is necessary to work together to solve the problem. In this connection, I propose the "principle of four C's": cooperation, competition, information exchange and coordination, sometimes with a third party (coordination)," he added.
The head of the CDC also stressed that humanity today is struggling not only with the coronavirus pandemic, but also with "infodemia, when relevant information and misinformation are intertwined."
