US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping touched on international issues such as the fight against the spread of coronavirus, the economy and the climate in a telephone conversation on Thursday. He stressed that during the telephone conversation, which lasted an hour and a half, the heads of state were frank, but treated each other with respect. The official also added that both leaders "can be frank and honest with each other without lecturing" at the same time. During the conversation, Biden focused on the importance of combating climate change and taking constructive measures for this, writes TASS.
At the same time, according to Bloomberg, the head of the White House in the conversation stressed "the disappointment of the United States due to the fact that Beijing has not yet shown seriousness in communicating with American officials."
