Four days later, he was hospitalized in Beijing. Doctors found a bacterium in his body - the causative agent of anthrax. At the moment, the patient is in isolation under the supervision of specialists. Previously, the patient was in contact with livestock - a possible carrier of the disease. Anthrax is a dangerous infectious disease that can affect the skin, lungs and gastrointestinal tract. It can be transmitted both from an animal to a person, and between people. At the same time, this disease is not as contagious as the flu or the disease caused by the new coronavirus (COVID-19).
