China's pharmaceutical company Sinopharm on Monday made the first delivery of a coronavirus vaccine of its own production to Pakistan through the international COVAX program.This was reported by the Chinese newspaper Global Times.
As specified on the publication's Twitter page, in this way Beijing seeks to fulfill its promises regarding assistance to other states in the fight against the pandemic.
Last week, Chinese President Xi Jinping said that China will allocate $100 million to the World Health Organization's project for the joint procurement and distribution of the COVAX vaccine to provide immunobiological drugs against coronavirus to developing countries. According to him, Beijing is ready to closely coordinate efforts with the international community and promote global cooperation in this area.
