According to Titov, the interest of Chinese applicants in Russian universities is explained by the high competition when applying to China, while Russia offers more accessible educational trajectories. A draft is currently being prepared, which is planned to be approved at the government level, and a meeting of a special group led by Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova will be held in the near future.
As part of the cross-years of Russian-Chinese cooperation in the field of education (2026-2027), the Russian side will present more than 300 events with the participation of educational institutions. Several agreements are already in force between the universities of the two countries, including the creation of joint programs and separate educational institutions.
One of the most striking examples of such cooperation is the Moscow State University branch in Shenzhen, which is successfully operating and demonstrating the demand for Russian education among Chinese students. According to Titov, such projects will continue to develop, strengthening educational ties between the two countries.
