Dmitry Demeshin, Governor of the Khabarovsk Territory, announced the preparations for the event. According to him, the delegations will come from the provinces of Heilongjiang, Liaoning, Jilin and Shaanxi. The forum will be a continuation of the Eastern Economic Forum, which will be held in Vladivostok on September 1-4, and will build on the agreements reached there.
Holding two major events in a row will provide an opportunity to unite participants, concretize the decisions taken and expand investment contacts. The regional authorities expect that the forum will strengthen the strategic partnership between Russia and China and give an additional impetus to the development of the region.
The program includes discussions on the development of Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island, support for small and medium—sized businesses, as well as on the Two Shores - One Amur tourist route. In addition, the participants will discuss attracting investments, creating industrial parks, and cooperation in science, education, and culture. The first forum, held in May 2025, gathered more than 3,000 participants and ended with the signing of 34 agreements worth over 100 billion rubles.
