The Russian Ambassador to China congratulated the people of China on the Spring Holiday in Chinese

Igor Morgulov addressed the citizens of China on the occasion of Chunjie and used the image of two noble horses as a symbol of partnership between the two countries.

Russian Ambassador to China Igor Morgulov recorded a video greeting on the occasion of the Spring Festival, the traditional Chinese Lunar New Year, and delivered it in Chinese. In his address, the diplomat used the idiom about two noble steeds rushing towards spring, comparing the development of Russian-Chinese relations with them.

According to Morgulov, the image of free and forward-looking horses is associated with the deepening strategic cooperation between Russia and China. He wished that the two countries, like a pair of magnificent horses in one harness, would move together towards a bright future, despite any difficulties.

The spring Festival (Chunjie) is the main family celebration in China and is accompanied by large—scale migration of the population - the so-called "chunyun", when millions of people return home to their relatives. In 2026, the Lunar New Year will come on February 17, and the official holidays will last a week, ending with the traditional Lantern Festival.
