The Russian Ministry of Construction is considering the possibility of adapting 20 Chinese construction standards, said Sergey Muzychenko, Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing of the Russian Federation, during the Siberian Construction Forum. According to him, eight documents have already been translated in 2025, and 12 more are in the works.
We are not talking about changing the basic requirements, but about borrowing technologies to achieve standardized parameters. Muzychenko noted China's significant experience in implementing major infrastructure projects, including the construction of high-speed highways, bridges, tunnels and high-rise buildings. At the same time, the approaches to safety in the two countries largely coincide, and previously the Chinese side used Russian practices in modular and panel construction.
The Deputy minister also said that in 2025 it is planned to issue about 36 sets of rules and conduct about 40 studies, including on the economics of the life cycle of buildings and increasing labor productivity. In addition, work continues on translating the register of construction requirements into a machine-readable format, which will automate design and reduce the number of regulatory documents to 4-5 thousand.
