In December 2025, for the first time in the history of observations, Russia exported agricultural products worth more than $1 billion to China. This was announced by the federal center "Agroexport", noting that the volume of supplies for the month amounted to about 1.3 million tons.
According to the center, the previous record for the cost was recorded in October 2025 and amounted to about $812 million. Thus, the December figures were the highest for the entire period of statistics on bilateral trade in the agricultural sector.
The top 5 types of Russian agricultural products shipped to China in December included rapeseed oil, live, fresh or chilled crabs, flax seeds, pollock and herring. At the same time, the record for the physical volume of exports was updated: the previous maximum of 1.14 million tons was in September 2023.
