Chinese companies have reduced smartphone shipments to Russia in 2025 by 25.1%, to 16.05 million units, according to the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China. In terms of value, exports decreased by 32.1% and amounted to $1.8 billion. Russia ranks sixth in the world in terms of the number of Chinese phones purchased.
Hong Kong remained the leader among importers of Chinese smartphones (141.7 million units), followed by the United States (65.4 million), the United Arab Emirates (46.9 million), Japan (23 million) and Mexico (17.2 million).
Overall, the top ten importing countries reduced purchases of Chinese smartphones by 10.4% compared to 2024, to 364 million units. This list also includes the Netherlands, Thailand, Pakistan and Singapore.
