A major symposium dedicated to the creation of television programs and film projects about the sea was held at the Hainan International Film Festival.

The seventh Hainan International Film Festival organized a thematic symposium that brought together about 300 participants and industry representatives. At the meeting, they discussed the development of marine projects, the potential for filming in coastal areas and opportunities for expanding cooperation in the field of cinema.

Among the key topics is the creation of films in picturesque marine areas, including the Xisha Islands, to which China claims territorial rights. The experts presented presentations with seascapes and suggestions for organizing the filming process in the South China Sea to the participants. Special attention was paid to Wuzhizhou Island, which is popular among divers and suitable for filmmaking.

A memorandum on the creation of a new film about the sea called "Beach Rescuers" was also signed at the event. The symposium ended with a round table with the participation of Chinese directors. The Hainan Film Festival, which runs from December 3-9, remains one of China's premier cinematic events, attracting thousands of submissions from around the world and cementing Hainan's role as an international cultural venue.
