During the meeting in Beijing, Xi Jinping stressed that China intends to work with France to strengthen joint development and promote a peaceful international order. According to him, Beijing sees Paris as an important partner in moving towards the formation of a community with a common destiny.
The Chinese leader noted that regardless of changes in the global situation, both countries, as major powers, must maintain strategic independence and adhere to an independent line. He stressed the importance of mutual understanding and support on key issues affecting the interests of both sides.
Xi Jinping also called for strengthening bilateral political dialogue and expanding cooperation in the fields of economy, innovation and sustainable development. According to him, the partnership between China and France can become an example of constructive cooperation for the international community.
