Heilongjiang topped the rating of China's regions for working with Russia

Хуан

Heilongjiang Province topped the ranking of China's regions in terms of interaction with Russia, ahead of Guangdong and Shandong.

The Heilongjiang province bordering Russia took the first place in the ranking of the activity of Chinese regions in working with Russian partners. The study was presented by the Russian-Chinese Committee for Friendship, Peace and Development and the Petersburg Politics Foundation at the VI Russian-Chinese Business Forum in Xi'an. Heilongjiang received the maximum expert rating of 10 points.

Next in the ranking are the economic centers of China — Guangdong and Shandong, which scored 9 points each. Inner Mongolia and Beijing are also among the five most active countries. Experts note that Guangdong accounts for more than 10% of China's GDP, while Shandong has a developed industrial base and large ports.

Analysts also paid special attention to Shaanxi Province, which scored 7 points. Its capital, Xi'an, has been named one of China's key logistics hubs: the central location of the region makes it convenient for distributing Russian goods throughout the country. The rating is based on an analysis of real joint projects, rather than formal events, and reflects the growing development of bilateral economic ties.
