China has resumed direct flights from Chongqing to Moscow

Чун

Tianjin Airlines has resumed operating direct flights between Chongqing and Moscow on an Airbus A330.

The Chinese airline Tianjin Airlines has resumed direct passenger flights between Chongqing and Moscow. As reported by Xinhua news agency, the carrier has again launched a route that connects one of the largest megacities in China with the Russian capital.

Flights are operated on an Airbus A330 airliner. The plane departs from Chongqing on Tuesday morning and arrives in Moscow in the afternoon, and the return flight departs the same evening and lands in China the next day. The airline will operate in this mode until the end of February 2026, after which it will increase the frequency of flights to twice a week.

Chongqing is the largest city in southwestern China with a population of almost 32 million people and significant industrial potential. The growth of air traffic is taking place against the background of the expansion of visa-free travel: visa-free entry for Russians to China was launched in the fall, and the Russian side announced that it was preparing to introduce a similar regime for Chinese citizens.
