China is actively increasing its missile production capacity. According to the American television company CNN, since 2020, the area of more than 60% of the 136 facilities related to the rocket industry has grown by two million square meters. The analysis was carried out on the basis of satellite images, maps and open documents of Chinese departments.
One of the largest enterprises where the expansion was recorded was the Beijing Dongfeng-26 (DF-26) intermediate-range ballistic missile factory. These missiles are capable of carrying hypersonic gliding warheads and hitting targets at a distance of up to four thousand kilometers.
The US military has previously noted that China is increasing its military capabilities at an unprecedented pace. According to Pentagon estimates, by 2024, China's nuclear arsenal has exceeded 600 warheads, and by 2030 their number may reach thousands.
