General Director of the Arctic Development Project Office (PORA) Maxim Dankin participated in the First Scientific Seminar on the international situation in the Arctic and China's foreign policy as part of the Russian delegation.

The event is organized by the Arctic Research Center of the Oceanological University of China. The purpose of the seminar is to establish scientific, business and expert contacts, exchange experience and strengthen cooperation between Russia and China.

Maxim Dankin made a presentation on the development of the Northern Sea Route at the seminar. During the visit, working meetings were also held with the heads of the China-SCO Regional Trade and Economic Cooperation Pilot Zone. The Russian delegation visited the automated terminal of the Qingdao Port, the Metro Control Center on the West Coast of the city, and the power equipment plant.

According to Maxim Dankin, Russian-Chinese cooperation is becoming more and more profound and strategic today: "China is our important partner, including in the Arctic. He is actively investing in the development of the Arctic's resources, is a major buyer of Arctic hydrocarbons and a supplier of technologies without which the implementation of major northern projects would have been impossible," said the Director General of the Arctic Development Project Office.
