According to Ekaterina Reliably, director of the MSU-PPI Art Center, cultural projects promoting Russian music and art in China are being actively implemented at the university. The Tishina youth group performs covers of famous Russian songs, and students react especially warmly to the compositions of the Kino group.
In addition to musical events, the Art Center organizes workshops and lectures on Russian culture, including an introduction to writing, patterns, and making rag dolls. There are also productions combining folk dances from Russia, China and other countries, and special attention is paid to Tchaikovsky's ballets.
The MSU-SPI Joint University in Shenzhen is the first university established by Russia and China, it cooperates with more than a hundred educational and scientific organizations of the two countries. This year, an Open science Week of the BRICS countries is taking place here as part of the international Science 0+ festival.
