According to the press service of Moscow State University, University Rector Viktor Sadovnichy and President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Hou Jianguo signed a document on October 9 that opens a new page in scientific cooperation between Russia and China. The agreement provides for joint research in the fields of physics, astrophysics, nanotechnology, as well as materials, Earth and life sciences.
The parties intend to initiate joint scientific projects and experiments, hold conferences and exchange teachers and young specialists. According to Sadovnichy, the agreement will become a new impetus for the development of Russian-Chinese academic cooperation and create an effective platform for the exchange of ideas and technologies.
President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Hou Jianguo expressed confidence that the partnership of the two leading scientific centers will contribute to strengthening strategic cooperation between Russia and China and will serve to develop the scientific potential of both countries.
