According to Bloomberg, in the first seven months of 2025, China exported about $120 billion worth of energy products, while the United States exported about $80 billion. The Ember analytical center reported that in August, exports of clean energy technologies from China reached $20 billion, which was a record monthly figure for the country.
Despite the decrease in the cost of renewable energy equipment, Chinese exports of solar panels maintain record volumes — 46 thousand megawatts in seven months. This indicates the continued growth of supplies and the expansion of China's market share.
In addition, China is actively developing the export of advanced technologies to developing countries: more than half of the electric vehicles delivered in 2025 are sent there. According to Bloomberg, even with a possible increase in American supplies of fossil fuels and "green" technologies, China's role in the global energy sector will continue to strengthen.
