According to a study by Aviasales for Business, business trips to China accounted for 17% of bookings, while Turkey accounted for 16%. The top five also included Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan (9% each) and Belarus (7%), which showed such a high result for the first time. Experts note that the growing demand for China is directly related to the expansion of trade and economic ties and investment projects between the countries.
The trend was confirmed by Nikita Kondratiev, Director of the Department of the Ministry of Economic Development, who stressed that the choice of business reflects real processes in the economy: deepening partnership with China, sustained interest in Central Asia and the growing importance of Belarus in joint projects.
Moscow became the leader in the domestic market, providing 20% of all bookings. The top five also included St. Petersburg, Sochi, Yekaterinburg and Kaliningrad, which displaced Novosibirsk from last year's positions. According to the study, the majority of business trips are made by trading companies, and in the regions there is a noticeable increase in the activity of cultural, sports and IT organizations.
