According to the Association of Travel Aggregators, Russians' interest in planning trips to China has doubled at the moment. Experts predict that in the future, the total demand for this destination may increase by at least a third, which will become a significant incentive for the development of tourist infrastructure.
Previously, visa-free travel was valid only for trips to Hainan or during transit to third countries, which limited tourist opportunities. Now Russians will have a chance to travel freely in mainland China, as well as combine trips with beach holidays in southern resorts, which will make the destination more versatile and attractive.
Starting from September 15, the Chinese authorities will officially introduce visa-free entry for Russian citizens for up to 30 days. According to experts, this step will stimulate the growth of independent tourism and increase passenger traffic through Chinese airports, as well as strengthen cultural and business contacts between the two countries.
