Heavy rains and floods in Beijing did not affect Russian tourists — there were no casualties, the trips are going according to plan.

According to preliminary data, there are no casualties among Russian tourists in Beijing as a result of heavy rains and local floods. This was announced by Artur Muradian, Vice President of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, adding that there was also no information about refusals to travel.

According to the expert, there were no alarm calls from tourists, the programs have not changed, and flights are operated according to schedule. Muradian noted that the flooding in the Chinese capital is limited in nature and does not affect the daily life of the metropolis, despite the visually dramatic images in the media.

Maya Lomidze, Executive Director of ATOR, confirmed that tourists feel safe and calmly continue their vacation. Earlier, Chinese authorities reported 30 deaths and the evacuation of more than 80,000 people in the affected areas, but popular tourist destinations remain out of the risk zone.
