According to the press service of Tomsk State University, over 50 students from different regions of Russia, including Moscow, Kuzbass and Altai Krai, are going to study at Shenyang Polytechnic University. The program lasts for four weeks and includes full immersion in the Chinese language environment, which, according to experts, is one of the most effective methods of learning the language.
According to Irina Shvedova, director of the TSU Confucius Institute, studying in China provides a unique opportunity not only to attend classes, but also to practice the language daily in a natural environment. The program is complemented by a cultural part-excursions, master classes and acquaintance with the traditions of Liaoning province, where the partner university is located.
The Confucius Institute at TSU was opened in 2008 and has become one of Siberia's key platforms for cultural dialogue between Russia and China. Russian Russian Language Center named after A. N. S. Pushkin was also established in Shenyang as a result of this collaboration, where Chinese students study Russian and learn about Russian culture.
