According to Alexey Levykin, General Director of the State Museum of Fine Arts, the parties are discussing the organization of a unique temporary exhibition, which will be the result of cooperation between the museum, Chinese colleagues and the Moscow Department of Culture. The project is currently in the active phase of preparation, and the parties look forward to its successful implementation in the near future.
In addition, the museum is completing the construction of a new exhibition complex near the Novodevichy Monastery. The concept, artistic design and thematic content of the future exhibition have already been determined. The issues of engineering equipment, safety, and purchase of equipment, including display cases and architectural design elements, are currently being addressed.
The new site will become not only an exhibition space, but also an educational center. The exposition with an area of about 2 thousand square meters will be dedicated to the history of the monastery, and will also become a storage place for monuments of church history. Lectures, workshops and other cultural events are planned to be held here, which will expand public access to the historical heritage.
